Touching those in Need

3/30/2020

Our church is partnering with Youth With A Mission Richmond to help feed those directly effected by the COVID-19 outbreak in Richmond city. For many years YWAM has been helping to feed 50 households a month. But within one week the number jumped to 120 households and donations have dropped dramatically. in the past few weeks many low-income families lost their jobs and struggle to meet their basic need of food. Along with our church financial donation we are encouraging anyone to join us. Your financial donation will directly help feed those in need in the city of Richmond.

In the middle of this ever-changing situation, I wanted to give you an update on FACC's  plans and some encouragement.

 > We are not gathering in person for worship services and other events until further notice.

Now, here is what we will do!

 > We will have an online service on Sunday mornings at 10:00.  It will also be posted for viewing later.  You can find an easy link to that on our website home page, our YouTube page, and our Facebook Page .

 > We want to be sure to continue to financially support our church, our missions work globally, and we may discover new opportunities locally.  You can give online giving through the church website by CLICKING HERE. You may prefer using the bill pay system of your bank.  Of course you can always mail in a check:

Finally, I believe we need to walk in wisdom, but not fear. This can be a time where the church can reach out to others or pull back. I see three things we need to do.
  1. Strengthen or relationship with God. Spend time in solitude with God. this is something we struggle with in American culture. This is an opportunity to grow deeper in our relationship with our Heavenly Father.
  2. Strengthen our relationship with each other. This is not only a time we spend time with our families, but also make sure how we are doing as a church body. Call each other and pray for each other. Share how you are doing. Connect! Let us also make sure that we can come together to help those in need. Let us look for ways that the older and vulnerable don't have to leave their homes. If you are in that category, please reach out to us. We need to help one another.
  3. Strengthen our relationship with the lost. People are looking for hope and comfort. This is something we can offer. Share our online services. Also if they are older and vulnerable, please make sure that they are taken care of. Help meet them in their need!
Please stay in touch.

Grace and peace,
Dustin Campbell
